Walking the Values Talk

Engaging Team Members through Mission, Vision and Values — Helping team members learn about the company mission and discussing ways to implement it on the daily is a powerful way to enliven and transmit company culture.
Elite Technical’s vivacious mission began with the thrill Co-Founder Joseph Monaco, felt the very first time he placed a technical professional in a job that was about to change that person’s life.
I asked Mr. Monaco about the genesis of that mission and here is the
Story
he shared: "There’s a special joy in telling a candidate, ‘You’ve got the job!’ As a team, we all love the excitement of someone who just heard those words.
It never gets old!"
Recruiting the right people is essential to buiding and managing reputation
Sharing your company story can be an effective way to attract and recruit people who are a good fit for your team.
For 31 years, Elite Technical's mission "to fill the greatest tech jobs with the most talented people" has been the touchstone for company sales and recruiting efforts. Executing that mission effectively is essential to driving reputation as a trustworthy staffing and recruiting firm. And that requires understanding of and adherence to a shared mission and set of corporate values.
Says Mr. Monaco, "Our hard-earned reputation for excellence, integrity and ethics means everything to us."
He attributes the firm's excellent performance to the power of talented people focused on a single mission and doing their jobs well. "In fact, our team has placed more than 3,000 people in great jobs with over 400 of the nation's leading companies. We are a team in action," he added.
According to Vice President Philip Mosca, Elite Technical stresses the importance of conducting client, contractor andcolleague interactions in a transparent, respectful and accountable fashion. "With everyone toeing that line, we make a great team."
Driving Organizational Culture
Adherenceto this shared set of values, behaviors, and processes translates into an energetic workplace culture. When recruiting new team members, Elite Technical looks for individuals whose talent, historyand experience demonstrate a commitment to the mission and valueswe share. Then, we hire people who will be a great fit.
Once aboard, the company reinforces those values every day through an open-door leadership policy, collaborative work spaces, team meetings (even at a distance), integrity, commitment to diversity, equity, inclusivity, as well as fair market pricing for clients and desirable compensation packages for our team.
A Culture of Giving Back
The team's service commitment doesn't end with clients and candidates; it extends to the community, too. In 2020, the firm established
Recruit for Your Cause
,a charitable giving program that honors the memory of co-founder, BruceKeller. This charitable giving program also celebrates the many achievements of its recruiters with a charitable donation each time anElite Technical recruiter makes a placement. Recruiters each choose a recipientcharity for contributions made in recognition of that individual's successful efforts. To boost motivation, at each monthly team awards meeting, the team reviews donations made, which provides a real "feel good" moment for all present. See a

The Power in Relationships
A sa family-owned small business enterprise, Elite Technical works to build strong relationships– with candidates, contractors on assignment, and clients alike. During multiple information-sharing, goal-setting ,and feedback meetings each week, the team stays apprised and accountable.
"We foster open, honest communication as a key to building trust and forging long-term partnerships. We encourage employees (as well as candidates and clients) to share their thoughts and honest feedback with us. And, we’re fortunate to receive many referrals from past team members, as well as
hundreds of testimonials and many five star reviews," said President Donna Keller.
Longevity as a Key Measure of Culture and Engagement
The extreme longevity of Elite Technical team members is a testament to the qualityof relationships built inside and beyond company walls and the success of its team. When people feel satisfied, successful and appreciated they remain engaged!
With a clear understanding of mission, purpose, vision and values, the team has been able to serve the needs of many long-term clients. "And, while it’s inevitable that some people move on to new opportunities, we are grateful for those individuals who have made longstanding contributions to our mission and our success over the years," added Mr. Monaco.
Elite Technical is proud that its employees stay the course! Some have worked with this woman-owned small business enterprise for as many as 15, 20, 23, 27, 29 and 31 years.
"We think that’s pretty amazing, and we are thrilled to say our loyal long-term team members – and those who have joined us since – help bring our mission and
values to life every day.
Cheers to them!" added President Keller.
