Recruiting with purpose, a family venture
The Story of Elite Technical
When heart merges with tech, gears shift in a big way. At the risk of sounding sappy, this is our story:
There’s a special joy in telling a candidate, "You’ve got the job!" And, at Elite Technical, we all love that! It feels amazing to catch the excitement of someone who just heard those words. It never gets old! And, that’s how putting great tech talent to work became the heart of our story.
Founded in 1992 on a big personal vision and a heart for putting people to work
When Joseph Monaco, our co-founder, was a college student working nights at a staffing company, he learned how to put people to work on technology projects. He was captivated with the positive impact he made on both the people he placed and the companies he helped. He was hooked and knew this was the career for him. He also was sure he could do it differently ...
dare we say better? Joe dreamed of building a tech-recruiting powerhouse that would put talented people to work at some of the nation's most impressive companies. His question was
how to do it because he knew he couldn’t do it alone. Luckily, his family threw themselves
all in.
In September 1992, Donna and Bruce Keller leveraged their house to fund the startup and shortly after jumped in full time. Over the years, the three developed a loyal team of senior-level recruiters and other true professionals—such as sales and accounting experts—each fired up with the same heartfelt passion for matching talented people with great jobs.
Along with many successes, we experienced unnerving challenges, such as changing business conditions and demands, setbacks after 9-11, and the 2008 financial crisis and the coronavirus pandemic. Most significant to us personally was the loss of co-founder Bruce Keller to leukemia in 2012; his loss was deeply felt by our entire team, especially by the three sons who worked with him each day.
Fast Forward to Today
Elite Technical has placed more than 4,000 talented tech professionals in great jobs, and we've built relationships with 400+ industry-leading companies who rely on our team for quality resources. We think that's pretty cool, and we are inspired every day to continue making great things happen.
Always grateful, still growing
Thirty-two years ago, we had a dream, a simple plan and a basement office. When we started Elite Technical, we knew what we wanted to achieve. Eventually, we evolved our strategy and expanded our capabilities: We built relationships inside and out. We personally reached out to, and pre-screened, a massive number of technical professionals who enriched our recruiting network. We grew our presence with multiple locations to serve clients across the country. We even incorporated sophisticated Artificial Intelligence into our recruiting platform. Through it all, we've enjoyed the privilege of working with a world-class group of people.
We are truly grateful for the many opportunities we’ve had and even for the difficulties we’ve learned from along the way. Over time, those opportunities and challenges have taught us how to best apply our skills. Now, we are fortunate to be able to do good for others. We are committed to "giving back" as Bruce Keller always did, and as many of our Elite Team members regularly do by serving their own local communities and churches and contributing to the charities and not-for-profits close to their own hearts.
At Elite Technical, we truly love the service we perform on so many levels. And, we believe we’ve got a real heart for it! We also love the many opportunities we now have to give back on behalf of our team and our company.
Recruit for your cause
In 2020, Elite Technical established
Recruit for Your Cause. This charitable program honors the memory of our co-founder, Bruce Keller, and also celebrates the many achievements of our amazing recruiters whenever an Elite Technical recruiter makes a placement. Each recruiter chooses a recipient charity for contributions made on his or her behalf.
Some of the more well-known charities we help fund include, but are not limited to, the American Diabetes Association , Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project®, and in honor of Bruce Keller, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
