PROBLEM:
L3Harris (formerly Harris Corporation) sought to upgrade its technology infrastructure. The project required extensive technical support for the new MyFloridaNet-2 (MFN-2) program. It was part of a $700 million contract awarded by the State of Florida to modernize much of the existing network and telecommunications backbone connecting Florida’s public safety, law enforcement, public schools, and other state and local government agencies.
SOLUTION:
The work involved transitioning the existing infrastructure to a new series of six POP nodes in different areas of the state, then migrating thousands of remote sites over to the new MPLS backbone. Elite Technical provided 18 Voice/Data professionals to help complete the primary and secondary phases of the MFN-2 program.
OUTCOME:
A high-level manager on the MFN-2 program had this to say:
“We recognize and appreciate Elite Technical Services’ commitment to provide us with staff that encompasses our requirements. We also recognize your responsiveness to our requests, as well as the detailed information provided on each prospective candidate. Many of the temporary staff provided by Elite Technical Services are now full-time employees who are doing an excellent job, and we thank you!”
